This interactive workshop explores best practices for integrating a critical disability studies approach in both qualitative and quantitative research design. Participants will learn about inclusive, disability-centered interview protocols and techniques, followed by strategies for designing survey questions that accurately represent disabled students’ experiences, challenging ableist assumptions in research methodologies.

Danielle Susi-Dittmore, University of Utah
Danielle Susi-Dittmore's research focuses on disability in higher education, often in the community college sector and as it relates to inequities in vertical transfer to four-year institutions. She earned her PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah, where she also serves as an Assistant Dean of College Access & Community Engagement.
