Professional Bio
Naomi currently works from the Kanza great plains territory that is the native homeland of the Kaw, Osage, Pawnee, and Wichita and the nomadic tribes of the Cheyenne, Comanche, Kiowa, and Arapaho. She is excited about working with and supporting ASHE as a professional association orientated towards advancing equitable and inclusive research about the evolving function and role of higher education and academia. With many personal and professional experiences that emphasized the importance and value of association work to lifelong career development, Naomi is thrilled to extend servant leadership to the role of Communications Coordinator.
A Los Angeles native born and raised, she also represents part of the vibrant demographics of Latine graduates across post-secondary education, proudly holding an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BA in Graphic Design from California State University-Northridge. When not working, Naomi enjoys cooking as a home chef, dreaming of her next Disney vacation, and appreciating her family and friends.
