Dr. Nicholas R. Stroup (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs at Ohio University, where he also manages the PhD in Higher Education and online Master's in Higher Education programs.
He has served in student affairs administrative roles at several higher education institutions, primarily supporting students in transition and graduate academic programs. His research centers on equity and inclusion in graduate and professional education, international higher education in the Western Balkans, and contemporary theories of socialization. He uses causal inference techniques in his quantitative research and critical discourse analysis in his qualitative research.
